Gula became a regular in the BSU lineup in 202-21. He saw time in 25-of-26 games and recorded three points (1g-2a) doubling his career total. His assist to aid BSU in a 6-3 win over Michigan Tech Dec. 12 snapped a string of 31 games without a point dating back to Nov. 17, 2018. The Beavers are 2-0-1 when he logged a point. Carries a +4 plus/minus rating into the postseason to go with 16 blocked shots. His goal Feb. 5 stood as the game-tying goal in a 3-3 draw at Ferris State. He matched a career single-game best two blocked shots on four occasions as a junior. Served two minutes for one penalty.

Gula saw time on the Beavers' blueline in 17 games as a sophomore and recorded a point (1g). He netted his first collegiate goal to help BSU gain a 5-2 victory over Ferris State (1/3/20). He posted a season-high two shots against Alaska Fairbanks (12/6/19). Gula also recorded a season-high of two blocked shots against Bowling Green (1/31/20).BSU was 12-3-2 when Gula was in the line up. Finsiehd 2019-20 with a +4 plus/minus rating.

2018-19 (Fr)
Gula participated in 18 games for the Beavers... Marked two assists for two points with four shots on goal... Ended the 2018-19 season with a +2 rating.

Prior To BSU
Played four seasons in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League with the Steinbach Pistons. In 56 games for the Pistons in 2017-18, the alternate captain netted 61 points on 14 goals and 47 assists to rank as the MJHL’s top scoring defender. His 47 assists ranked not only third on the team, but led all MJHL blueliners and placed him ninth amongst the league's top-scoring skaters. Twenty-eight of his 61 points, including nine goals, were generated on the power play (9g-19a) and seven of his 14 goals stood as game-winners. After leading the Pistons to the Turnbull Cup title and an apperance in the RBC CUp, Gula, who set club single-season records for points and assists by a defenseman, was selected as the MJHL's top Defenseman.

Gula also came to BSU international experience under his belt. As a member of Team Canada West in the 2016-17 World Junior A Championships, the Steinbach, Manitoba native collected an assist in four appearances on the Canadian blueline.

Born January 8, 1998 to Angie and John Gula, he is a business major at Bemidji State and a regular on the Dean's List.
