He strung together three different three-game point streaks, including a stretch between Nov. 22-29 during which he logged four points (3g-1a) and a two-goal night as the Beavers defeated Alabama-Huntsville (11/23/19)... BSU was 6-0-0 when h scored a goal and was 10-2-1 when he recorded a point... Totaled a season-high of six shots against Ferris State (1/4/20), along with a season-best two blocks against Minnesota State (12/29/19)... Finished the season with a -2 plus/minus rating and 10 blocked shots.
Cardelli appeared in 37 of BSU's 38 games... Made his BSU debut in a 2-1 victory over North Dakota (10/12/18)... Netted his first collegiate point, an assist, in his fifth game--a 3-1 victory at Alaska-Anchorage... Netted his first goal and multi-point game(1g-1a) to lead the Beavers to an 8-3 non-conference win over Merrimack... Totaled nine goals, with seven unassisted, and six assists for 15 points with 70 shots on goal... Netted 35 penalty minutes on 12 penalties... Entered one empty-net goal and two game-winners... Ended the season with a +3 rating.
Prior to Bemidji State
Played two seasons of junior hockey, first in the NAHL and then in the USHL... He split his 2017-18 USHL's season between the Fargo Force, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders and Youngstown Phantoms... He collected 24 points (7g-17a) in 50 games, which included 13 points (3g-10a) in 26 games for Youngstown... He helped lead the Phantoms to the postseason during which he logged nine points (3g-6a) in 11 games... Prior to his time in the USHL, Cardelli experienced a tremendous amount of success in the North American Hockey League... Playing the entire 2016-17 season with the Brookings Blizzard, the Illinois native averaged 0.9 points per game... In 59 appearances, Cardelli had 20 goals and 33 assists for 53 points to rank second on the team and among the top 30 scorers in the league... His 33 assists paced the Blizzard and was good for 25th in the NAHL and five of his 20 goals stood as game-winners... In addition, he was a catalyst on Brookings’ power-play unit totaling a team-best 18 points (7g-11a) on the man advantage... Leading the Blizzard to the postseason, he posted a team-high seven points (1g-6a) in five games played... Cardelli also played 26 games of the 2015-16 season with Brookings. He totaled 15 points (8g-7a).
