ST. PAUL, Minn. - For the second time this season, Joe Remitz (Soph.; Cass Lake, Minn.) has been honored as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference's Male Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced today.

Remitz was last honored on Jan. 10, after breaking the school record in the shot put with his toss of 52-2 3/4 at the Northwestern Open in Minneapolis, Minn. The event was the teams first of the season and provisionally qualified Remitz for the NCAA Division II National Championships.

On Saturday Remitz broke the school record again. This time he did it at home as Bemidji State hosted the Super 8 Open at the Gillett Recreation Fitness Center. His put of 56-9 1/2 broke the school record again, marking the third consecutive week that Remitz has accomplished this feat.

After Remitz's last outing, he has the third best put in Division II of the NCAA.

Bemidji State will next be in action as they travel to Superior, Wis., to compete in the Superior Invite.
