Season ends with cancelation of games

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University softball team’s games against Wisconsin-Superior this Wednesday have been canceled. With the cancelation the 2010 season comes to a close for BSU. The Beavers finished the season with a record of 8-39 (2-24 NSIC).

Senior outfielder Jamie Ford (Edina, Minn.) finished her final season with a .260 batting average and third on the team with hits (40). She knocked in 18 RBI while also hitting four homers on the season. Ford scored 17 runs on the season.

Sophomore right-hander Courtney Anderson (Virginia, Minn.) finished the season with 123 strikeouts. She also had 11 complete games with one complete-game shutout.

Stephanie Rossman (Fr., C, Menomonee Falls, Wis.) led Bemidji State in the batter’s box with a .381 batting average. Her 51 hits and six homers also led the team.
