BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University softball team announced the movement of six 2013 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games Monday afternoon. The Beavers’ series against Minot State University originally scheduled for Tuesday was moved to Wednesday. BSU’s doubleheader against its Beaver counterpart will begin at 1 p.m.
Additionally, the Beavers' home opening series scheduled for Saturday and Sunday have been moved due to field conditions in Bemidji. BSU will now travel to Wayne, Neb. to take on Wayne State College beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday and will head to Sioux Falls, S.D. Sunday to take on Augustana College, starting at noon. Both days will still feature doubleheaders and are still considered home games for the Beavers.
After a 6-11 nonconference start to the season, including a 4-5 spring training trip to Florida, the Beavers went 1-5 in its first weekend of NSIC play. After splitting a pair of games against the University of Minnesota Crookston in Rosemount, Minn., BSU was swept by Concordia University, St. Paul and Minnesota State University, Mankato in Savage, Minn.
Bemidji State will play three road series next week and is next schedule to play at home in Bemidji April 16 against St. Cloud State University.
