BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University softball team earned a bid into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Softball Tournament for the second consecutive season and will enter play as the tournament’s sixth overall seed.
The seeding is the highest ever for the Beavers (24-17, 14-12 NSIC) since the league adopted 16 teams in 2008 and second-consecutive appearance in the tournament after placing eighth in 2016.
The Beavers will take on third-seed Augustana University (S.D.) May 4, (noon) at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls, S.D., to start the double-elimination tournament. The NSIC Tournament will take place May 4-6 and the winner will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Region Tournament.
