BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University softball junior Kelsey McAllister has been selected to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Second Team as a first baseman announced Wednesday.
McAllister was the lone Beaver selected to any All-NSIC squad and marks the first of her career.
The Lino Lakes, Minn., started 36 games for the Beavers including 33 at first base and finished fourth on the team with a .313 batting average. McAllister finished fifth on the team with a .429 slugging percentage after totaling 35 hits including seven doubles and two homeruns.
Winona State University’s Lani Van Zyl was named the conference player of the year while Jordyn Kleman, also hailing from Winona State, was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Year. Augustana University’s Ashley Mickschl and University of Mary’s (Emma Noble were tabbed as the freshman and newcomer of the year.
