Beaver Softball announces 2019 schedule

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University softball head coach Rick Supinski announced the release of the program’s 2019 schedule slated to begin Feb. 12. The Beavers will play 56 games during the 2019 season including 28 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play beginning March 26.

The Beavers will play 28 non-conference games during the season beginning Feb. 12-13 with four games at the Dragon/Beaver Battle at the West St. Paul Dome. Bemidji State will then travel to St. Cloud, Minn., to play four games at the St. Cloud Dome Feb. 28-March 1.

The Beavers will then travel for their annual Spring Break Trip in Florida Mar. 10-15 where the Beavers will play 12 different opponents across the NAIA and NCAA Division II. BSU returns home March 20 and concludes the non-conference season with four games at the West St. Paul Dome, Mar. 20-21.

The Beavers then begin their NSIC schedule by traveling to University of Minnesota Crookston, Mar. 26 followed by traveling to University of Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State University Mar. 30-31. Bemidji State hosts its first games of the season April 2 against St. Cloud State University to begin an eight-game homestand. The Beavers then hit the road for a one-day series at Minot State University before returning home for four games against Upper Iowa University and Winona State University.

The Beavers start an eight-game road trip Tuesday, April 16 at University of Minnesota Duluth before ending the trip Wednesday, April 24 at University of Mary. BSU then concludes the 2019 regular season by hosting Wayne State College and Augustana University, April 27-28.

Post season play will kick-off on May 2 with the NSIC Softball Tournament held in Rochester, Minn.

The Beavers will look to build off a record season in 2017 with the program’s highest finish in the NSIC Softball Tournament, finishing third a season ago. Bemidji State posted a 28-19 record in 2017 and earning the program’s highest ever seeding (sixth) in the NSIC Softball Tournament.
