Bemidji State hosts youth volleyball camps

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University Gymnasium is buzzing this week as Head Coach Wayne Chadwick and the BSU volleyball team hosts the Wayne Chadwick Middle School All Skills Camp.

More than 25 middle school girls participated in the event (July 9-10), during which they received instruction from Chadwick and members of the BSU volleyball team in basic passing, hitting, serving and defensive fundamentals.

The Middle School Camp is just the beginning of volleyball camps hosted at BSU this summer.  The Beavers host Wayne Chadwick's High School All Skills Camp set for July 16-18 at the BSU Gymnasium. The camp geared for girls entering grades 9-12 will focus on refining passing, hitting, setting and other skills.  Registration is $170 for commuter campers (includes lunch, dinner and camp T-shirt) and $190 for campus resident campers (includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, lodging and camp T-shirt).
