BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to the University of Sioux Falls 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-12) Friday night. With the loss, the Beavers fall to 4-15 (2-8 NSIC) while the Cougars earn their first conference win and move to 9-10 (1-9 NSIC).

The Beavers and Cougars traded points throughout the first set until BSU took a five-point lead at 17-12. However, USF rallied back and took a 20-17 lead before BSU scored another point. The Cougars would close out the rest of the set and won 25-21.

The second set was even closer than the first, with each team trading points throughout the set. Bemidji State and Sioux Falls would be tied at 20-20 late and BSU scored three of the next four points and took a 23-21 lead. However, USF rallied back and scored the remaining four points to take the second set 25-23.

Sioux Falls came out in the third set with new found energy and jumped to a 10-5 lead. The Beavers couldn’t match their opponent’s energy and fell in the third set 25-12 and the match 3-0.
