Beavers fall to No. 4 Northern State, 3-0

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to No. 4 Northern State University 3-0 (25-28, 25-26, 25-12) Friday night. The Beavers (6-20, 4-13 NSIC) were led by junior Jessica Yost who posted her eighth double-double of the season 13 kills and 13 digs.

The Beavers were out-hit in the match by the conference leading Wolves (23-2, 15-2 NSIC) .484 to .165 and NSU had just five attacking errors to the Beavers 16.

Freshman Kori Leist led the Beavers in hitting percentage by hitting a .462 clip, and made six kills in the match. Junior Amanda Tronick followed with 11 kills and hit .161. Senior Ashley Kiecker led BSU with 26 assists, and Kayla DeJong made eight digs.

The Beavers will continue their road trip and travel to Minnesota State University Moorhead, Saturday.
