Yost records double-double as Beavers fall to Huskies

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to St. Cloud State University, 3-1 (22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 18-25) Tuesday night in a non-conference match hosted by Sauk Centre High School. Senior Jessica Yost led the Beavers (5-11, 1-6 NSIC) with 14 kills and tallied 11 digs for her seventh double-double of the season.

Sophomore Jessica Reega followed Yost with eight kills while senior Amanda Tronick added seven and freshman Julie Touchett totaled three. Freshman Shelby Haney led the Beavers with 31 assists and Yost and sophomore Heather Fletcher led Bemidji State’s defense with four blocks each.

Bemidji State will get back into Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play this weekend by traveling to Minnesota State University, Moorhead, Friday and No. 14 Northern State University, Saturday.
