Led the team for the fourth straight year in kills (406) averaging 3.83 kills per set to become the 7th person in program history for season bests kills... Reached 1,000 career kills against York College (9/2)... Surpassed 1,301 kills against Augustana (10/28) to become the Bemidji State volleyball program's all-time career kills leader and finished her career with 1,381 total kills... Also holds the record for career kill attempts with 4,312... Recorded her 1,000th dig against Mankato (11/11) and become the third person in program history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career... Led the team with 335 digs... Was third on the team with 53 total blocks... Also had 20 assists and 12 service aces... Played in all 106 sets and 29 matches during her final season playing for the Beavers.
Led the team for the third stratight year in kills (334)... Second player in program history to lead the team in kills for three or more seasons (Nicole Olson, 2007-10)... Led the team with a .190 hitting percentage... Posted 20 or more kills in three matches... Had the second most kills in program history with 28 against Minnesota State (10/31)... Set a school record with 12 service aces against Dickinson State (9/12)... Posted eight double-doubles... Led the team in kills and service aces (29) and finished second in digs (265) and third in blocks (42).
Yost led the team for the second consecutive season in kills (300)...First Beaver to lead the team in kills in back-to-back years since Bethany Thompson did in 2011-12...Posted seven double-doubles...Reached 20 kills in two matches including one against nationally-ranked Northern State (Oct. 18)...Finished second on the team with 23 service aces, fourth in digs with 204 and third in blocks with 48.
Named team’s co-offensive player of the year…Led the team with 341 kills (3.31 K/S)…First freshman to lead the Beavers in kills since 2007 …Posted double digit kill totals in 20 of 28 matches…Finished third on team in digs (214, 2.08 D/S) and blocks (32, 0.31 B/S).
Prior to BSU: A native of Bemidji, Yost helped lead the Lumberjacks to back-to-back state tournament appearances in her junior and senior years…As a team captain in her fourth year, she helped guide the team to the state consolation final where it lost to fifth-ranked Roseville, which went 27-6 on the season…Named to the all-tournament team for BHS, which reached a program record 24 wins for the second straight year…Selected to the 2012 all-state team her senior season after posting 494 kills on 1100 attacks, 76 blocks, and 422 digs… Reached the 1,000-kill mark in her junior season and also holds BHS’s career kills record…Set the school’s single-season kill record in her sophomore season and broke it in both her junior and senior years…Played in the AAU Volleyball Nationals during the summers of 2011 and 2012 with the Black Ice club team…A three-sport athlete, Yost also competed in basketball and softball and is a 10-time letterwinner…She was a standout on the softball field…During her junior year she led the Lumberjacks in batting average (.404), slugging percentage (.596), and had the best pitching record (9-3)…Pitched a perfect game against Grand Forks Central as a freshman and pitched a no-hitter that included 17 strikeouts in her junior year.
Personal: Born May 27, 1995… Daughter of Dennis and Laurie Yost… Majoring in exercise science while at BSU… Sister, Chelsea, now a senior at Carleton College, competes on the softball team and earned All-MIAC honors in 2012.
