BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Senior guard Aimee Pelzer completed her final season with Bemidji State University women’s basketball by earning the program’s first All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team nod since the 2007-08 season. Pelzer was the only Beaver selected to the all-conference list after finishing third in the NSIC in assists and eighth in scoring.

Pelzer, a team captain and a native of Upsala, Minn., helped the Beavers to their most conference wins since the 2013-14 season. She led the team with 33.8 minutes, 15.0 points, 4.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game, while also leading beyond the arc with 73 total 3-pointers. The 73 3-pointers converted this season is tied for the third best performance in a single-season in program history. Pelzer finished third in the NSIC shooting 39.0 percent from 3-pointers and ranked fourth with 2.8 3-pointers per game.

Pelzer placed herself with the best in program history after closing her career Wednesday, finishing fifth all-time with 313 assists, fifth with 186 3-pointers made and 15th with 1,106 career points. She is now one of three Beavers to earn All-NSIC First Team honors since the 1998-99 season, when the league began including second team and honorable mention in the all-conference team. Pelzer is the first Beaver to earn All-NSIC First Team since Amy Lawson did so following the 2007-08 season.
