GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Led by junior Christa Pribula (East Grand Forks, Minn.), the Bemidji State cross country team finished in sixth place at the Ron Pynn Invitational. Pribula finished the five-kilometer event, held at the Ray Richards University Golf Course, with a time of 20:12.

With four Bisons finishing in the top ten, the University of Manitoba placed first at the run. North Dakota and Jamestown College rounded out the top three. Minot State boasted the individual champion, as Genny Binsfeld completed the course in 18:41.

“We accomplished what we wanted to this week,” head coach Craig Hougen said. “Our overall time improved, and we ran in a pack better. I’m happy with the results.”

The team will next compete in Saturday morning’s Jackpine Classic, scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. The start and finish areas will be located in front of the Newman Center, just east of BSU’s Gillett Recreation Center.
