Pribula, Friend place in top ten at Dragon Invite

GLYNDON, Minn. - Bemidji State’s cross country squad competed at the Dragon Invitational on Friday afternoon, narrowly missing out on second place in the three-team event. Concordia-Moorhead won the run handily, placing three of its runners in the top five.

Junior Christa Pribula (East Grand Forks, Minn.) was BSU’s top individual, finishing in third place with a time of 23:24. Sophomore Nicole Friend (International Falls, Minn.) was the only other Beaver to crack the top ten, placing eighth in a time of 24:10. The event, held at a blustery Ponderosa Golf Course, was won by Concordia’s Natalie Hanson, whose time of 22:28 was 40 seconds better than her nearest competitor.

Bemidji State will next compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships, held on Saturday, October 23 in Wayne, Neb.
