Bemidji State treks to Jimmie Invitational

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University cross country team travels to Jamestown, N.D. to compete in the Jimmie
Invitational Friday afternoon. The meet is hosted by Jamestown College and scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m.

The Beavers finished sixth overall with 165 points at the Pine Hill Invitational Oct. 8. Kirsten Maras (Sr., Anoka, Minn.) led
the way for BSU, crossing the finish line in 24 minutes, 21 seconds to place 35th.

Tina Larson (Jr., Morris, Minn.) placed 50th with a career-best mark of 24:21. Junior Michelle Ohman (Prior Lake, Minn.)
grabbed 72nd (25:38), while Tess Boucher (Fr., Alexandria, Minn.) finished 82nd (25:56) to help contribute to the overall team
score.

Last year Bemidji State placed sixth overall at the Jimmie Invitational. The Beavers compiled 127 team points, finishing seven
points behind University of Minnesota-Morris for fifth and 72 behind first-place Jamestown College (55). Individually, Ali
Hougen
(Sr., Bemidji, Minn.) placed 32nd with a mark of 21:19 on the 5,000-meter course, while Maras finished three seconds
back in 33rd (21:22).
