Beavers take fourth in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Hillcrest GC) - The Bemidji State University cross country team took fourth Friday at the Jimmie Invitational. The race was a 5,000-meter run and took place at the Hillcrest Golf Course, hosted by the Jamestown College Jimmies.

Tina Larson (Sr., Morris, Minn.) led the Beavers by finishing 10th with a time of 20:12.00. Behind Larson was Taylor Sautbine (Jr., Tamarack, Minn.) with a time of 21:26.00 to finish 23rd, followed by Emily Turner (Fr., Bingham Lake, Minn.) who posted a 21:52.00 and a 27th place finish. Rounding out the top 30 for BSU was MacKenzie Haupert (Jr., Andover, Minn.) at 28th with a time of 21:54.00 and Mikayla Connell (Fr., Bemidji, Minn.) at 21:57.00 (30th).

Concordia-Moorhead finished first and was followed up by Minnesota State University Moorhead and Jamestown. The individual winner was Molly Montonye from MSU Moorhead who was followed by last year's winner Aleona Reyes of Jamestown.

This was the last race before the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships for the Beavers. The championship race is Saturday, October 20 in St. Paul, Minn.
