ST. PAUL, Minn. (Les Bolstad Golf Course) -- Senior Tina Larson (Morris, Minn.) turned in her fastest 6,000-meter time of the season to lead the Bemidji State University cross country team Saturday in St. Paul, Minn. at the NSIC Championships.
Larson crossed the finish line in 25:12.8 to finish 51st individually among the field of 119 participants. With a team score of 23, the Vikings had a 47-point cushion on the rest of the field.
Augustana College won the conference championship, with four of the top five individual times.
University of Mary's Melissa Agnew earned the individual championship clocking a time of 21:48.5. She finished 13.5 seconds ahead of a pack of AC runners to claime the title.
Bemidji State tied with Concordia University-St. Paul for 11th place with a team score of 330. In addition to Larson, runners accounting for BSU's team score were: Michelle Ohman (Sr., Prior Lake, Minn.), who finished 64th in 26:08.8, Mackenzie Haupert in 68th place in a time of 26:40.6, Emily Turner, who crossed the finish line in 26:56.3 to sit 70th overall and Taylor Sautbine (Jr., Tamarack, Minn.), who took 77th place in a time of 27:22.8.
