Bemidji State takes fifth at Thorson Invite

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Emily Tuner led the the Bemidji State cross country team to a fifth place finish at the Mike Thorson Invitational Friday in Bismarck, N.D.  The junior placed 15th individually, completing the 5,000-meter course in 23:42.65.

The host, University of Mary, won the event with a team score of 38, placing four runners among the top 10. Former Marauder, Jennifer Agnew, won the event clocking a time of 20:56.00 to claim the title by 51 seconds.

Bemidji State turned in a team score of 116.

The Beavers return to competition Nov. 8 when they travel to Wayne, Neb. for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship. The 6,000-meter race is set for a 10 a.m. starting gun.
