Bemidji State cross country to compete in NCAA Regional

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University cross country team will compete in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship Saturday at Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Neb.

The Beavers are coming off a 12th-place finish at the 2014 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship Nov. 8, which took place on the same 6,000-meter course. Junior Emily Turner turned in a time of 23:42.0 to finish 45th individually and lead the Beavers.

Last season, BSU finished 23rd in the regional with Turner leading the charge, clocking a 25:29.9 to finish 156th individually.

The seven-member BSU team, along with teams hailing form the Great American Conference, the Mid America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and the NSIC will toe the line to start the NCAA Central Region Championship at 12:15 p.m.
