Turner paces Bemidji State at NCAA Division II Regional

WAYNE, Neb. (Wayne CC) -- Junior Emily Turner led the Bemidji State University cross country team to 23rd place at the 2014 NCAA Division II Central Region Championship Saturday in Wayne, Neb.

Turner turned in a time of 24:27.24 to finish 95th overall and lead BSU's scoring participants. She finished 3:22.56 off the pace set be the regional's individual champion Samantha Rivard of the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Minnesota Duluth took the team title posting a score of 40. Augustana College (59), Missouri Southern State University (150) and Winona State University (151) also qualified to participate in the NCAA Division II Championship December 6 in Louisville, Ky.

The Central Region Championship brings the BSU 2014 schedule to a close.
