BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University cross country team will travel to Moorhead, Minn. Sept. 11 to compete in the Randy Smith Invitational to begin the season. The 4,000-meter race will begin at 8:15 p.m.
Crummy led the way for the Beavers at the NSIC Championship and also competed in the NCAA Division II Central Regional a year ago. In addition, Crummy’s 2014 highlights included posting a 18th place finish in the Mike Thorson Invite and clocked 20:09 to place 29th at last year’s Randy Smith Invitational.
Four of BSU’s returners finished in the top 65 in last year’s Randy Smith Invite. In addition to Crummy, Jolynne Denman placed 30th with a time of 20:12 followed by Jane Austin (21:31) and Amanda Anderson (23:00).
The next race for the Beavers will be the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul, Minn. Sept. 26. The Beavers will compete in five total races in preparation for the NSIC Championship Nov. 8 in St. Paul, Minn.
