JOPLIN, Mo. -- Nicole Crummy clocked a career-best 23:10.07 to place 69th and lead the Bemidji State University cross country team at the NCAA Central Regional in Joplin, Mo.

The Beavers turned in a team score of 688 to finish 25th in the 31-team field and trimmed an average of 1:06 per runner from its average time at the 2014 event.

In all, five of BSU's participants recorded personal-bests at the 6,000-meter distance.

Southwest Baptist University won the event with 79 point, placing two runners among the top 10.

University of Minnesota Duluth was the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference finishing second with 99 points.

Individually, the University of Mary's Alex Zeis won the regional, breaking the tape in 20:08.31, while five of the top 10 finishers call the NSIC home.

The event brings the Beavers' 2015 season to an end.
