Beavers travel six for NCAA Central Regional Championship Saturday

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University cross country program is set to run at the 2018 NCAA Central Regional Championship Saturday, Nov. 17 in Joplin, Mo. The Beavers and the women’s participants will begin the 6,000-meter run at 11:15 a.m. from Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.

The Beavers will travel six participants to the regional meet Saturday, including senior Courtney Anderson, sophomore Carissa Decko, sophomore Ashley Herdering, sophomore Kristen Petron, freshman Ryne Prigge and freshman Allyna Storms.

Prigge led BSU in its last race, the 2018 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship Saturday, Nov. 3 in Aberdeen, S.D. She set a personal record with a time of 24:09.0 in the 6K while taking 39th place. Petron and Storms also set personal record marks at the NSIC Championship meet.

The NCAA Division II Championship meet will be held Sunday, Nov. 18 in Slippery Rock, Penn.
