BSU in ninth after first round of Augie Spring Invite

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.  (Prairie Green Golf Course) -- The Bemidji State University women's golf team sits in ninth place with a team score of 335 (+47) after the first round of the 13-team Augustana Spring Invitational at the par-72, 5,820-yard Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.  Gustavus leads the tournament with a score of 303 (+15).

The duo of Marissa Mackedanz (Jr., Paynesville, Minn.) and Kathryn Stoffels (Fr., Maple Grove, Minn.) carded matching 10-over-par 82s in round one of the 36-hole event and are currently tied for 32nd, nine strokes off the lead and Katie Schenfeld of Gustavus Adolphus College.

BSU and the rest of the Augie Spring Invite field will be back at it tomorrow as they wrap up the event from Sioux Falls, S.D.
