NSIC Championship round two halted due to weather

BRANDON, S.D. (Brandon Golf Club) --Unfavorable weather conditions in the afternoon halted play during the second round of the 2009-10 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Golf Championship, leaving four groups, which included BSU's participants, without round two final scores. The four groups will head out tomorrow morning to complete their rounds at 8:00 a.m. prior to beginning the final 18-holes of the championship.

The Beavers finished the first round of play tied for seventh place Friday.  Forty-six strokes off the pace set by Augustana College (318; +35), BSU was led by junior Gretchen Trosen (Larimore, N.D.) who carded a first-day total of 87 to sit 16 shots over par to tie for 21st place individually.

Bemidji State and the rest of the NSIC Championship field will be back on the par-71, 5,904-yard Brandon Golf Course to wrap up the second and third rounds of the 54-hole event tomorrow.
