LAKE ELMO, Minn. (Tartan Park Golf Course) -- The Bemidji State University women’s golf team completed its first event of the 2010 fall season Monday taking 10th in Concordia University’s Wildwood Lodge Invitational at the 5,975-yard, par-72 Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn.
BSU turned in a team total of 386-378--764 (+188) to finish 150 strokes off the pace set by team medallist Augustana College (300-314--614, +38).
Individually, Kathryn Stoffels (So., Maple Grove, Minn.) fired a BSU second round total of 87, shaving 10 strokes for her day one total to finish locked in a tie for 40th place with 97-87--184. The duo of Marissa Mackedanz (Sr., Paynesville, Minn.) and Lindsey Morgan (So., Crookston, Minn.) finished six shots back tied for 52nd place with 190 (+46). Rachel Wold (Fr., Crookston, Minn.) and Maria Sloan (Fr., Coleraine, Minn.) rounded out BSU’s participants in 61st (99-101--200, +56) and 62nd (100-102--202, +58) places, respectively.
Emily Kvidera of Augustana fired a two-day total of 74-74--148 (+4) to earn low individual honors at the event.
Bemidji State returns to action Friday (Sept. 25), when it travels to Marshall, Minn. to compete in the 36-hole Mustang Invitational. The event is set for the Marshall Golf Club.
