BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team travels to south Sunday and Monday, to complete in the Holiday Inn & Suites/Lake Elmo Invitational, hosted at Tartan Park Golf Club by Concordia University, St. Paul.
The 36-hole event will begin ant 9:30 a.m. each day and features players hailing from 14 different institutions, including Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foes like: Augustana College, Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota State University, Mankato, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, St. Cloud State University, Southwest Minnesota State University, Upper Iowa University, University of Minnesota Crookston, University of Sioux Falls and Winona State University.
Competing at Tartan Park will give the Beavers a taste of NCAA regional competition as the 6,019-yard course was the site of the 2013 NCAA Division II Central Regional last May.
Bemidji State enters the event after posting a ninth-place finish at the Cobber Open Sept. 5. Olivia Knutson, (So., Hatton, N.D.) led all BSU players, placing 22nd with a nine-over-par 81.
