BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team travels to Marshall, Minn. Saturday and Sunday, to complete in the 16th Annual Mustang Invitational. Southwest Minnesota State University is hosting the event at the Par 72, 5,935-yard Marshall Golf Club.
The 36-hole tournament will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start Saturday with Sunday’s final round slated for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The event will feature more than 75 players hailing from 14 different institutions, including Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) foes like: Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota State University, Mankato, Minnesota State University-Moorhead, Minot State University, St. Cloud State University, Southwest Minnesota State University, Upper Iowa University, University of Minnesota Crookston and Winona State University.
Bemidji State enters the event on the heels of placing 13th at the Holiday Inn & Suites Lake Elmo Classic Sept. 15-16. Olivia Knutson (Hatton, N.D.) finished the 36-hole event with a 176 (+23) to tie for 29th individually and lead the BSU contingent.
