BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team returns to action this weekend when it travels to Brainerd, Minn. and The Classic at Madden’s for the fall portion of the 2013-14 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women’s Golf Championship.
The event will get underway with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Saturday, while Sunday’s round slated for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The 2013-14 championship will consist of 72 holes, in addition to the 36 played in Brainerd this weekend, the final 36 holes will be played April 26-27 at Dacotah Ridge Golf Course in Morton, Minn.
Augustana College, winner of the last four NSIC championships, opens the event seeking to defended its title.
BSU heads into the championship on the heels of a BSU Invitational title Sept. 27. Olivia Knutson (So., Hatton, N.D.) and Monica Wold (So., Crookston, Minn.) led Bemidji State, carding matching 12-over-par 84s to tie for second place individually.
