BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Bemidji State University women’s golf team continues its 2014 fall season when it travels to Marshall, Minn. this weekend to compete in the 17th annual Mustang Invite at Marshall Golf Club. The 36-hole, two-day event will have more than 80 golfers from 12 schools competing.
The Mustang Invite will feature teams from: Augustana College, Bemidji State, Central Missouri State University, Minnesota State University, Mankato, University of Minnesota Crookston, Minnesota State University, Moorhead, Minot State University, Northwest Missouri State University, University of Sioux Falls, Upper Iowa University and Winona State University.
Tee times for the event begin at 1:00 p.m. with a shotgun start on Saturday at the 5,935-yard course.
Last year, Minnesota State won the tournament with a score of 620 (+44). Kenya Sethasompobe of Minnesota State had a score of 1-over-par 145 to capture the individual title.
Last weekend, BSU sophomore Mary Elmquist (Elk River, Minn.) finished tied for 20th with an 18-over-par, 162 (78-83), at the Concordia-St. Paul Holiday Inn Invitational at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn. The Beavers’ finished eighth place overall with a team total of 693 (342-351).
