BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team concluded play at the Concordia-St. Paul Fall Classic, Monday, September 18 and finished 11th of 13 teams that participated at the tournament.

The Beavers totaled a score of 732 (+156) over the two-round tournament led by freshman Lauren Stockmoe who tied for 17th individually after carding a total score of 168 (83,85, +24). The two-round completes a career-low for Stockmoe who previously shot 87 and 92 at the Tracy Lane Memorial for her first collegiate tournament.

Sophomore Erica Gartner followed with a 182 (89-93, +38) to finish second on the team while Joleen Werden (96-95, +47), Elise Stockmoe (104-89, +49) and Katy Woelfel (102-96, +54) scores all counted towards BSU’s total. Peyton Miller (91-95, +42), McKenna Blaine (95-99, +50) and Hailey Hinners (110-111, +77) all competed as individuals for BSU.

Augustana University (SD) took home the team title after having three golfers finish in the top three to pace the field with a total score of 617 (+41). Alexandra Stone of Augustana took the individual title by carding an eight-over par 152 (79-73) to beat fellow Viking Emily Israelson by one stroke.

The Beavers will conclude fall play at the MIAA Preview in Maryville, Mo., next weekend with a two-day tournament at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course, Sept. 24-25.
