BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team finished sixth of nine teams at the Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament after being led by sophomore Mollie Albrecht who posted her fist top-10 finish of the season. The Beavers shot 698 (346-352) as a team while Albrecht paced the team with a score of 162 (80-82) to tie for eighth.
Augustana University took home the team title after posting a score of 629 (323-306), 18 strokes in front of second place finishers Concordia University-St. Paul and Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Following Albrecht was freshman Katie Leblanc who posted a score of 173 (84-89) to tie for 23rd in her first collegiate tournament. Morgan Sammon (91-89=180), Jocelyn Nyblom (91-92=183) and Vaida Behnke (109-99=208) rounded out the Beavers’ top five scores. Grace Van Brocklin (96-103=199), Savannah Byfuglien (112-106=218) and Taiylor Ellingson each competed as individuals for the Beavers.
Augustana’s Natalie Young took home the top medalist honor with a score of 152 (80-72).
Bemidji State returns to action Sept. 20-21 by competing at the Golden Bear Classic in Maplewood, Minn.
