MAPLEWOOD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University women’s golf team finished ninth of nine teams at the Golden Bear Classic at the Keller Golf Course in Maplewood, Minn., Tuesday afternoon. The Beavers were led by sophomore Mollie Albrecht who carded 167 (81-86) and tied for 26th individually.
The Beavers shot 706 (357-349) as a team while Rogers State University took home the team title with a score of 608 (301-307).
Following Albrecht was Jocelyn Nyblom who tied for 44th individually with a score of 177 (89-88) while Katie Leblanc followed with 180 (92-88). Morgan Sammon (96-87=183) and Maddy Sawyer (95-93=188) rounded out the Beavers’ top five while Vaida Behnke (97-102=199) and Grace Van Brocklin (99-107=206) each competed as individuals.
Bemidji State will have a quick turnaround for its next tournament and travel to Marshall, Minn., to compete at the Everspring Inn Mustang Invite at the Marshall Country Club, Sept. 25-26.
