BSU soccer to host spring invitational
BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University soccer team will host seven teams this weekend to take part in the 2011 BSU Spring Invitational. Participating teams include the Minnetonka U-16 and U-17 teams, the University of Minnesota, Crookston, a BSU alumni team, and three club teams from Manitoba.

The BSU soccer team will play on Saturday, April 16, at 9 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. against CSSE Impact U-17 and Blizzard U17, respectively. On Sunday, the Beavers will play at 11:20 a.m. against Minnetonka United U-17.

All games will 60 minutes, 30 minute halves, with a 10 minute halftime and will be played at the BSU Soccer Complex. Admission is free to all games. The invitational will have a point system consisting of three points for a win, one point for a tie, one point for a shutout and one point for each goal scored, up to four goals per game. The tie breaker will be based on the team with the fewest goals against.
