BEMIDJI, Minn. (Chet Anderson Stadium) -- Rachael Norton scored twice and Catherine Arneson, while Anna Fobbe combined for a shutout to lead the Bemidji State University soccer team to a 2-0 victory over University of Mary Saturday at Chet Anderson Stadium.
The Beavers stretch their record to 5-0-0 overall and 2-0-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play with the win, while U-Mary falls to 0-2-1 overall and 0-1-0 in NSIC play.
Norton gave the Beavers the lead in the fifth minute, netting her second goal of the season on a pass from Sarah Stram.
Norton then posted her first collegiate multi-goal game, potting her third tally of 2015 in the 51st minute of the match.
A sophomore, Arneson made her 2015 debut, posting three saves in the first half to earn the victory before making way for Fobbe, who stopped the Marauders' final two shots on goal to preserve the clean sheet and extend her shutout streak to 384:36.
