BEMIDJI, Minn. (Chet Anderson Stadium) -- Claire Dagesse scored in the 86th minute to give Michigan Tech its first lead of the game, a goal that would ultimately have the Beavers their first loss of 2016.
Miranda Famestad scores the Beavers only goal of the game. The junior defender netter her team-high fourth goal of the seaosn in the 36th minute, heading a corner kick off the foot of Melanie Pelteir.
After trailing for more than 31 minutes, MTU got a goal from Kathryn Fife in the 67th minute to knot the score at 1-1. The goal would serve and the fulcrum of the game and the Huskies would control play for the final 23 minutes, including Dagesse's goal.
The Huskies out shot the Beavers, 18-15 in the game including an 11-5 first half, but MTU held a 9-6 edge in shots on goal.
Catherine Arneson was in net for the Beavers and piled up a season-best seven saves, while allowing two goals. She is 1-1-0 on the season.
The Beavers (3-1-0; 1-0-0 NSIC) returns to action Sept. 16 when they travel to Winona State University and Sept. 18 for an NSIC match up with Upper Iowa University.
