Defender Jordan Schaden to join Beaver Soccer as ninth signee

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University soccer Head Coach Jim Stone announced Wednesday that defender Jordan Schaden will join the program as its ninth signee for the 2022 season.

All student-athletes’ acceptances are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Jordan Schaden, a defender from Appleton, Wis., is a letter winner in soccer at Appleton East High School under head coach Tanner Freund. She led AEHS to a Fox Valley Association Conference Championship in 2021 and 2019. Schaden holds six seasons of club experience as a member of the 2003 Olympic Development Program Midwest Regional Team in 2020 and part of the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association State Championship team with North Shore United in 2020. She is also a letter winner in basketball at AEHS.

Schaden was born Sept. 21, 2003 and is the daughter of Ginger and the late Mike Schaden. She is a member of the Honor Roll and the National Honor Society. Schaden plans to major in engineering at Bemidji State.

With Schaden, BSU’s signing class includes three midfielders, two forwards and four defenders, including Katrina Barthelt (Bartlett, Ill.), Mykenzie Harer (Cottage Grove, Minn.), Alexia Johnson (Cottage Grove, Minn.), Brie Klingbeil (Fort Atkinson, Wis.), Tirzah Lange (Shakopee, Minn.), Briana Stocke (Andover, Minn.), Sylve Waters (Littleton, Colo.) and Isabella Vannavong (Champlin Park, Minn.).

Beaver Soccer closed out its 2021 campaign No. 9 in the final 2021 United Soccer Coaches organization poll after tallying a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular-season title, their third trip to the NCAA Tournament, an appearance in the round of 16, eight All-NSIC selections, seven all-region picks and First Team All-American Megan Dahl. BSU was one of 10 teams in the nation with at least 19 wins.
