• Third Team All-NSIC
Played in 18 games and made 16 starts… Scored seven goals, to match Sarah Stram for the team lead, and tagged on three assists to rank second on the team in points (17)… Attempted 40 shots and put 27 on frame… Scored the game-winning goal against U-MARY (Oct. 26) and totaled a career single-game high two goals for four points in the match… Was NSIC Offensive Player of the Week Oct 28.

2012 (Sophomore)
• Second Team All-NSIC
Started in all 19 games...led the team and had career highs in goals (10), and points (24)...tallied four assists… second in the NSIC in goals...tied for third in the NSIC with points… on Sept. 22 against Wayne State set career single-game highs in goals (2), points (6) and assists (2)...named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 24).

2011 (Freshman)
Played in 17 games, making eight starts...recorded three goals and one assist…was third on the team in points with seven… scored first career game-winning goal Oct. 16 against Wayne State.

Prior to BSU:
A 2010 graduate of North High School, O’Brien was a two-time All-Classic Suburban selection for the Polars garnering four letters in soccer, while earning five letters in ice hockey and another in track and field...She was also active on the club circuit playing for Oryz/St. Croix Vukovia Premier and St. Croix Arsenal U19 club teams, where she was a part of a 2009 U17 USA Cup Championship and U17 KISS Tournament runner-up squad...Equally as talented in the classroom, O’Brien was listed on the North “A” Honor Roll each of her four years in high school and earned four academic letters...After graduation, O’Brien gained invaluable experience as a redshirt player at Minnesota...Due to NCAA redshirt regulations, she did not compile any statistics in 2010, but got the opportunity to train along side and learn from some of the elite talent in collegiate women’s soccer. 

Mary Elizabeth O'Brien...Born May 14, 1992...Daughter of Peter and Diane O’Brien...One of seven children, O’Brien’s brother, Jim, played hockey at Minnesota in 2006-07 before signing a professional contract with the Ottawa Senators and continues to play in the organization...Majoring in Business-Finance.
