2017 (Senior) Kussow played and started in 17 games for Bemidji State totaling 1,057 minutes... Took a total of five shots... Was key to a back line that posted 12 shutouts in 20 matches, which included a 377:18 shutout streak to open the season... In all, the BSU defense allowed just 213 shots in 20 matches (10.65 spg) and 98 (4.9 sogpg) shots on goal... Protected a goalkeeping duo that ranked second in the league in goals allowed (0.50) and goals allowed average (0.48).
2016 (Junior) Made an appearance in all 20 matches with 17 starts... Logged a total of 1,144 minutes... Posted four shots with one on goal... Played a pivotal role in seven shutouts by BSU goalkeepers and was a part of a unit that ranked third in the league in goals allowed.
2015 (Sophomore) Played in 18 matches and started one... Posted three shots.
Played in 18 matches and started 16...Had a total of 1,430 minutes played with one shot on goal.
Prior to BSU
Kussow came to Bemidji State from Notre Dame Academy where she was a three-year letterwinner. As a junior, Kussow collected Fox River Classic Conference Honorable Mention honors and was the third leading scorer for the Tritons’ despite playing defense. She was named a captain of her high school team. Also, Kussow played for the DePere Select Club Team. In addition to earning a captain role for her high school team, Kussow was named captain of her club team and was the top scorer for the DePere Select for the past three seasons, and helped her team to a 9-0-1 record in 2013.
