FARGO, N.D. (Courts Plus) -- The Bemidji State University tennis team dropped its 2015-opening match to Concordia College, 5-4, Sunday at Courts Plus in Fargo, N.D.
Leading 2-1 heading into single play, BSU took the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches. Shaylin Prout earned a straight sets victory over Brittany Glatt, 6-1 and 6-0, while Deanie Hatch won at No. 2 singles 6-3 and 6-1, over Kendra Stock, but CC would come back to gain wins in the final four singles matches to edge the Beavers.
Bemidji State, now 0-1 overall returns to action Feb. 14 and 15 when it travels to Winona, Minn. to open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action with a pair of match ups. The Beavers will face Winona State University at 4 p.m. Friday, with a 9 a.m. match versus Upper Iowa University set for 9 a.m. Saturday.
