Beavers return home to host a pair of NSIC matches

BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Bemidji State University tennis team returns home to host a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matches from Gillett Recreation/Fitness Center, April 11-12. The Beavers will face Southwest Minnesota State University Saturday at 9 a.m. to start the weekend and will follow up with Minnesota State University, Mankato Sunday, also at 9 a.m.

The last time the Beavers were in action they finished the weekend 1-2. BSU fell short in a pair of NSIC matches Saturday, March 28, losing a close match to University of Mary, 5-4, and to Minnesota State University Moorhead, 7-2. However, the Beavers ended the weekend on a high note as they defeated University of Minnesota Crookston, 9-0.

The Beavers next action will be at home again, April 19 where they will face University of Minnesota Duluth for their last regular season match.

Nestled in Northern Minnesota’s wooded region and located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, Bemidji State University sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men’s and women’s hockey membership in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
