Thursday, January 11, 2007
BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University men's and women's track and field teams open the 2007 calendar year Saturday when they host the Fifth Annual BSU Alumni Meet. Representation from teams dating back to the 1960s will be in attendance including former All-Americans, BSU Male and Female Athletes of the Year and special guests Pat Rosenbrock, Vic Weber and Bob Eudeikis--who represent over 30 years of coaching BSU student-athletes on the track.

The meet will take place at the Gillette Recreation and Fitness Center and will begin at 3 p.m. The nearly 40 registered alumni will battle current BSU freshmen and a team of upper classmen in a triangular format. 'The Old Moldy Green' team will be given time handicaps for the number of years in which they have been away from collegiate competition. Former athletes will also get bonus points for wearing old track and field uniforms, sweats or letter jackets.

The day of events will conclude with a 7 p.m. dinner at Walnut Hall and a track and field alumni social at the Northern Inn.
